Ghost Box Testing
We are currently testing the theory of the Ghost Box. The box that we are using is a hacked RadioShack 12-587 digital AM/FM radio. The ghost box is basically a device that can scan either AM or FM radio frequencies, allowing you to hear the frequencies as they are being scanned. In theory for a ghost to communicate with you, one of the ways is through EVP by using the electronics in your audio device to pick up its' frequency. The problem with this approach is you need to play back your audio to listen to the voices, where as with the Ghost Box, while scanning different frequencies and having speakers hooked up to it allows the ghost to communicate with you as you are asking questions to it. The first time that we used it, we were just asking any random question that came to mind during the time of the EVP session. It seemed that for almost every question that we asked, there was a possiple response from the box. We soon realized that;
We needed to ask questions that require specific answers, not "Yes" or "No" questions.
We needed to come up with a standard set of questions, and catalog the responses to determine the probability of getting an answer pertaining to the question asked.
So, we came up with fixed a set of 20 questions that we will ask during the sessions. We will track the response for each question, and over time be able to determine the probability of getting a coincidental answer.
